Serbia: Croatian spy sentenced to three years in prison

BELGRADE – The High Court in Belgrade on Tuesday upheld a plea bargain between Cedo Colovic, 57, and the prosecutor’s office, sentencing him to three years in prison on charges of spying for Croatia.
In the same decision, the court extended the custody Colovic had been placed in on Sunday, a court statement said.
The preliminary proceedings judge decided to accept a plea bargain reached between the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade and the accused on Sunday, September 4, the statement said.
Following Colovic’s arrest, made by Security Information Agency operatives, the prosecutor’s office said the man, who has Serbian and Croatian citizenship, had lived and worked in Croatia until 1990, when he moved to Serbia.
