URGENT NEEDS OF SERBIAN "RED CROSS" ON THE OCCASION OF THE TERRIBLE FLOODS IN SERBIA

On the occasion of the terrible floods in Serbia, Serbian "Red Cross" has the urgent needs for the following: - mattresses - bed-clothes - demountable beds - diapers for children and adults - socks - underwear - torches - batteries for torches - toiletries (soap, toilet-paper, paper towels, wet tissues, sanitary napkins, toothbrushes, toothpastes etc) - "Asepsol" 5P - rubber boots

DONATIONS FOR REDUCING THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE TERRIBLE FLOODS IN SERBIA

In order to avoid high bank commission fees, very soon it will be possible for your financial contributions for our citizens affected by the terrible floods in Serbia to be deposited to the dedicated Greek account. The Embassy in Athens and the General Consulate in Thessaloniki will have one common account and the number of the account will be given in the shortest possible period through the websites of the Embassy and the Consulate. In the meantime, contributions are available by using the foreign currency account of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia (following given payment instructions).  If you are interested in donating humanitarian aid in goods (water, blankets, medicines, medical equipment, canned food, diapers, baby food, milk powder, disinfectants, clothes etc), we inform you that import of this aid is free of custom taxes and any charges, but please do have in mind that the goods can be imported only if it fulfills all the necessary conditions for using it in the domestic market. For those who are interested in donating the aid in goods, the collecting will be organize every day in the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia (Vas. Sofias 106, 115 27), and you are kindly asked to pre-announce the delivery of aid (phone number +30 210 777 4430). The goods that requires medical, veterinary, environmental or plant-health control or the quality control can be imported only if fulfills the conditions. For all the inquires regarding the donations in medicines and medical equipments, the contact person at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia is Aleksandar Ranković (aleksandar.rankovic@zdravlje.gov.rs), тel. +381 11 3614890. For those who can, we encourage the donations in financial means, having in mind that the need for certain goods is changing on daily basis.
