An explosion occurred Wednesday night outside a bank on Santaroza Street in the center of Athens.
There have been no injuries reported while minor damage has been caused both to the Eurobank branch outside of which the explosive was installed and to adjacent buildings.
A phone call to a news site warning 35 minutes before the blast occurred was made at 10:05 p.m. Police officers found a suspicious school bag and blocked the street and surrounding streets. Shortly thereafter, the threat became a reality and the time bomb exploded. Police officers are looking into security cameras in Athens to detect any movement that might lead to the perpetrators
