BELGRADE – A monument honouring Serbian and Russian soldiers killed in World War I will be built at Kalemegdan, the Belgrade City Assembly decided on Tuesday.
The monument honouring killed Russian and Serbian soldiers will be built in the vicinity of the Sava promenade at Kalemegdan. The monument with the pedestal will be the gift of the Centre of National Glory of Russia and the Foundation of St. Andrew the First-Called from Russia.
The initiative to build the monument was launched within the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I and all necessary permits for its construction have already been issued.
