BATROVCI – Members of the Border Police early this morning, at the border crossing in Batrovci, seized more than 80 kg of heroin in a Mercedes “A Class”, Turkish registration, driven by a Bulgarian citizen, “Blic” reported.
The driver was arrested. This is the largest single seizure of heroin at the border crossing in the last few years, said Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The drug was packed in 90 packages hidden in a purpose-built bunker inside the car, under the trunk, in the doors, wheel arches and floor.
