Several hundred commandos of the police of the unrecognized Kosovo invaded the Serb-populated north of Kosovo and Metohija, the Vecherne Novosti newspaper reported.
According to the publication, from 200 to 300 special forces in armored vehicles entered the territory in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and blocked Kosovska Mitrovica. The publication claims that the prime minister of the unrecognized Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in this way "moved to the final stage of the occupation of the north of Kosovo and Metohija."
According to the Brussels agreements, Kosovo police forces are not allowed to enter the Serb-populated north of the province without the permission of the heads of four Serbian municipalities.
